Life Gacha! is a turn-based, rogue-like game where players spend their own lifespan to roll a gacha in exchange for weapons and survival. Every roll is a gamble — pulling stronger items brings the player closer to victory, but also closer to death.
Dimension: 2D · Resolution: 1920×1080p · Platform: PC
Game Engine: Unreal Engine · Expected Playtime: 8–15 minutes
TMB Studio pitched Life Gacha! at the GDG IIUM GameFest 2026, presented under the GD GameJam — a 7-Day Creation Challenge. The pitch introduced the game's core concept: a turn-based gacha system where the player's own life is the currency.
Built in a tight development window, Life Gacha! stood out for its risk-reward design and stylized, high-contrast visual direction — giving the judges and fellow developers a clear look at the team's ability to execute a focused concept under pressure.

| Logline | Turn-based gacha where life itself is the currency — exchanged for weapons and survival. |
The player takes turns fighting enemies using items gained from gacha rolls. Every roll, however, costs the player a piece of their own life.
The player's appearance changes according to their remaining life. The more they spend on the gacha, the more visibly they age — and the closer they get to losing everything.
Players can rest to recover HP, but doing so costs them life in return — there is no safe way to recover without paying a price.
The player does not spend normal money, coins, or mana — they spend their own lifespan to roll the gacha. This makes every roll meaningful: it can grant stronger items, but it also brings the player closer to death.
Combined with funny cursed items, turn-based combat, and item-break mechanics, the game creates a risk-reward experience that directly connects to its theme.
